Vinyl Liner and Fiberglass Pools

Startup Guide

Week 1 –

□ Add SC-1000 – 1 quart per 10,000 gallon* directly into the main drain pot, or wait until there are a few inches of water in the bottom to pour in entire dose. VIDEO

*SC 1000 will deplete chlorine for the first couple of days

Day 1

□ Check & Balance Chemicals – Use LSI Calculator

  • Alkalinity – 80 – 120
  • pH – 7.2 – 7.6
  • Calcium – 200 – 400

□ * ELEVATE CHLORINE LEVEL – SC 1000 LOWERS CHLORINE

□ Add 2-3 chlorine tabs to floater or chlorinator *

*FLOATERS CAN CAUSE HIGH CHLORINE AND LOW pH IN CONCENTRATED AREAS, INLINE CHLORINATORS RECOMMENDED FOR EVEN CHLORINE DISTRIBUTION

□ Add Salt – Start Generator according to manufacturer

□ Add Stabilizer – 20-30 ppm – (Not to Exceed 50 ppm)

□ Let pool circulate for at least 10 minutes after adding all the other chemicals before adding Orenda products.

□ Add CV 700 or CV 600 – 1 quart per 10K (Organic Management)

□ Check Phosphates – Add PR 10000 (Use According to Directions)

Continued Maintenance – For Best Results Continuing Using SC 1000 (Sequest), CV 600 or CV 700 (Enzymes) & PR 10000 (Phosphate Remover)

  • Let pool circulate 24 hrs to allow chemicals to dissolve and evenly distribute.
  • Clean filter as needed

Day 2 –

□ Recheck Chemicals and make adjustments (LSI Standards)

and/or instruct customer to bring a water sample to a retail store.

Week 2 – 4 – Start Maintenance

Weekly –

□ Balance Chemicals – See Above (LSI Calculator)

□ Add Maintenance Dose of CV 700/ CV 600 & SC 1000

3 ounces – SC 1000

4 ounces (1/2 cup) CV 700 / CV 600

□ Check Phosphates Monthly or Quarterly
