Orenda App Privacy Policy

Introduction

Thank you for using our app, Orenda. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it by complying with this policy. This policy describes our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information that we receive through our Android and iOS applications. This policy also describes the choices available to you regarding how you can access or remove your personal information. The Orenda App is a free tool for water chemistry calculations and education.

1. Information we collect

1a. Personal Information: 

We collect certain personal information for you to generate an account in the Orenda app, which will allow you to easily access your information in the future and allow Orenda to provide the products and services you request. The Orenda app collects the following information: 

• Contact information, such as first name, last name, and email address. 
• If you choose to generate an account by signing into your existing Google or Facebook account, your contact information, such as first name, last name and email address will also be collected. 
• After your account is generated, you will be required to complete a form asking for the following information: 
• Whether you are a: Commercial Pool Pro, Distributor, Homeowner, Pool Builder/Plasterer, or Residential Pool Pro; 
• Your state and postal code

1b. Statistics: 

The Orenda App utilizes Google Analytics to collect statistics about the usage of the app. This includes: 

• Device information: We collect data about the type of device you use, such as model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers. 
• Usage data: We collect information on how you interact with the app, including features used, buttons clicked, and pages visited.

2. Information Collection and Use

We collect and use the personal information described in Section 1a above to: 

• Create and manage your account through the Orenda app; 
• Provide our offered products and services at your request; and 
• Conduct app usage analysis using Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies to collect and analyze information about app usage. This information is transmitted and stored by Google on servers in the United States. The information collected through Google Analytics is used exclusively for analytical purposes to enhance the functionality and user experience of the Orenda app.

3. Data Security and Retention

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. We take commercially reasonable measures to ensure the security of the personal information collected through the Orenda app. However, it is important to note that no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. 

We retain your personal information for only as long as required to provide our products and services to you, unless a different retention period is required by applicable law. 

The criteria used to determine our retention periods include:  

• The time necessary to fulfill the products or services you requested using the Orenda app; 
• The duration and status of your account with us, including whether your account is active; and 
• Any retention period required for our compliance with legal, regulatory, or government requirements, including the period during which civil claims or regulatory actions may be filed or otherwise commenced and the period needed to resolve ongoing legal proceedings;
  

4. Data Request and Data Removal

5. Children's Privacy

Our products and services offered in the Orenda app are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. Therefore, we do not knowingly process personal information from individuals under 18 years old. For compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (as amended), Orenda also does not have knowledge that it sells or shares the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. If a parent or legal guardian of a child under the applicable legal age believes that we have collected personal information from or about such an individual, please contact us at privacy@hasa.com. 

6. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Privacy Policy within the Orenda app and on this web page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
